Strategy vs Logistics [57 second read]

General Omar Bradley stated, “Amateurs talk strategy. Professionals talk logistics. The real professionals talk about logistics and sustainability because that’s where wars are won.”

We speak to pilots and peak performers about the dangers of not having a strategy that generates a long-term solution to run without interruption and one of the most common things we hear is, “Not my program, it will always be around and continue to run without me.”

The second most common thing we hear is, “I never thought that my program would fall apart once I left. It was on autopilot!”

High output individuals are a step ahead of most... they know exactly what risks their future plan faces, and they’re protecting that plan. You, too, can set your plan into motion for long-term, sustainable success.

What is a “Strategy?”

According to the Oxford dictionary, a strategy is “A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.”

Logistics

“The detailed coordination of a complex operation involving many people, facilities, or supplies.” (Oxford Dictionary)

A strategy is an excellent start, but one of the most commonly forgotten parts of the plan is coordinating continued operation without input from the creator.

I challenge you to measuring the viability of your project’s sustainability without your constant attention.

“Everyone remembers a product that worked until someone left.”

— Chris “Mulligan” Marslender (F-16 & F-35 Instructor Pilot)

To your continued success,

Dominic “Slice” Teich

P.S. Many individuals feel ill-equipped to understand how their plan will fall apart once they aren’t around anymore. For more information on how to meet your goals and stay accountable, read about specific steps that lasts HERE.
